Allambie Grove is a family run olive grove operating according to Bio-Dynamic principles which developed from a series of lectures given by Rudolf Steiner in Germany in the early part of the 20th century. Since being introduced into Australia by Alex Podoloinski in the 1950's the bio-dynamic principles have been adapted to suit the Australian climate. Now there are over 2 million acres farmed bio-dynamically in Australia.

Bio-Dynamics is a holistic approach to farming which takes into account the effect the lunar cycles have on plant growth. As with other forms of organics, no herbicides or pesticides of any kind are used. Crops are sprayed with a small amount of aged cow manure that has been ionized in water by stirring. This helps biologically activate the soil, improving soil structure and humus level.

At Allambie Grove our mission is to produce premium quality products using the sustainable agricultural principles of bio-dynamics.

We have a worm farm to effectively deal with the waste created by our processing facility and trees are not provided with water soluble nutrients of any kind. This means our trees are able to grow at their own rate and take what they need from the healthy soil.
